Shlomo builds his elaborate royal palace complex and hires Chiram the coppersmith to craft the Temple's copper furnishings.
Shlomo spends thirteen years building his own palace, including the House of the Forest of Levanon and a palace for Pharaoh's daughter. He brings a master craftsman named Chiram to cast the intricate copper work for the Temple. This includes the two massive pillars (Yachin and Boaz), the copper sea, and the ten water basins.
