The elders of all the tribes come to Chevron to officially anoint Dovid as king over all Yisrael. Dovid marches on Yerushalayim, captures the fortress of Tziyon from the Yevusim, and establishes it as the City of Dovid. The Pelishtim attack twice, but Dovid, following Hashem's exact instructions, soundly defeats them both times.
