Shoftim (Judges) — Perek 2

Judges Cycle: Fall/Rise

The cycle of idolatry, punishment, and deliverance begins.

• The generation that knew Joshua passes away.
• A new generation arises that does not know Hashem and serves the Baalim.
• Hashem gives them over to plunderers because of their idolatry.
• Hashem raises up Judges to save them, but they continue to stray.
