Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 11

The coming of the Mashiach from the shoot of Yishai, the era of universal peace, and the ingathering of the exiles from the four corners of the earth.

A righteous ruler will emerge from the stump of Yishai, endowed with the spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and awe of Hashem to judge the poor with equity. Under his reign, predatory beasts will dwell peacefully with lambs, and the earth will be filled with the knowledge of Hashem as water covers the sea. Hashem will raise a banner for nations and gather the dispersed of Israel and Yehudah.

• The emergence of Mashiach from the root of Yishai
• Endowed with the spirit of wisdom, understanding, and fear of Hashem
• Era of universal harmony: wolf dwells with lamb, child plays by cobra
• The earth filled with the knowledge of Hashem like waters cover the sea
• Hashem gathers the dispersed remnants of Israel and Yehudah
