Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 34

The universal cosmic wrath of Hashem upon all nations, and the total desolation of Edom into a permanent wilderness for beasts.

All nations and armies are summoned to hear the decree of total cosmic judgment, where the mountains melt with blood and the heavens roll up like a scroll. Hashem's sword is bathed in heaven and descends upon Edom (Bozrah) with immense slaughter. The streams of Edom turn to pitch and its dust to sulfur, leaving it a perpetual, unquenchable wasteland inherited forever by wild desert owls, ravens, and nocturnal beasts.
