12 BROTHERS
The 12 brothers ask their corrupt father why the wicked prosper while he was betting on a race with horses and humans
Yirmiyahu asks why the wicked prosper, and Hashem responds with a challenging metaphor.
Yirmiyahu complains about the prosperity of the wicked and the treachery he faces. Hashem answers that if running with footmen has tired him out, how can he compete with horses? Hashem mourns the desolation of His own heritage, comparing His people to a fierce lion roaring against Him. However, a promise is given that even wicked neighboring nations can be restored if they learn Hashem's ways.
