HOUSE

Dovid gives his final charge to Shlomo before dying, and Shlomo executes his political rivals to secure the kingdom.
Before his death, Dovid instructs Shlomo to follow Hashem's Torah and advises him on dealing with Yoav and Shimi ben Gera. Dovid passes away after 40 years of rule. Shlomo then systematically eliminates threats to his throne, ordering the executions of Adoniyahu, Yoav, and Shimi, while banishing Evyatar.
