King Yehoram of Israel allies with King Yehoshafat of Yehudah and the King of Edom to suppress the rebellion of Mesha, King of Moab. Stranded without water in the wilderness, they seek Elisha, who commands them to dig trenches that miraculously fill with water. The Moabites mistake the water for blood, launch a reckless attack, and are decisively defeated.
