Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 18

A message concerning the distant land of winged ships beyond Kush, and Hashem's quiet waiting before pruning the enemy.

A proclamation directed to the land beyond the rivers of Kush, which sends envoys in papyrus vessels across the waters. Hashem commands swift messengers to go to a tall, formidable nation while He quietly observes from His dwelling place like shimmering heat in sunshine. Before the harvest, Hashem will prune off the enemy's blooming branches and leave them for the birds of prey, after which tribute will be brought to Mount Tzion.
