Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 25

Praise for Hashem's marvelous deeds, the rich banquet for all nations, the swallowing up of death forever, and the trampling of Moab.

Yeshayahu praises Hashem for executing ancient counsels with faithfulness, reducing oppressive enemy cities to rubble while serving as a shelter for the poor and needy. On Mount Tzion, Hashem prepares a feast of rich delicacies and aged wines for all peoples, destroys the shroud of death forever, and wipes tears from all faces. The pride of Moab is trampled down like straw in a dung pit while Hashem's hand rests peacefully on Tzion.

• Hymn of praise for Hashem's miraculous deliverance of the poor
• Ruthless cities turned into mounds and palaces of strangers destroyed
• A lavish feast of fine wines and delicacies prepared for all nations
• Hashem swallowing up death forever and wiping tears from every face
• The trampling of Moab's haughty pride like straw in a dunghill
