The global apocalyptic judgment of the earth, the cessation of joy, and the ultimate glorious reign of Hashem on Mount Tzion.

Hashem empties the entire earth, laying it waste and turning it upside down because its inhabitants transgressed laws and broke the everlasting covenant. Songs of mirth, wine, and harp music cease entirely in ruined cities, while a small righteous remnant glorifies Hashem from the sea. The earth reels like a drunkard under its transgressions, leading to the punishment of heavenly hosts and earthly kings, after which Hashem reigns gloriously on Mount Tzion.
