The downfall and ruin of the maritime empire of Tyre and Sidon, followed by its restoration after seventy years to serve holy purposes.

A lamentation over the mighty merchant maritime city of Tyre, whose destruction shocks the ships of Tarshish, Cyprus, and Egypt. The great merchant capital is silenced and laid waste, forgotten for seventy years, corresponding to the lifespan of one king. After seventy years, Tyre will revive like a forgotten harlot, but her vast commercial profits and merchandise will ultimately be dedicated as holy sustenance for those who dwell before Hashem.
