Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 27

The slaying of Leviathan, the pleasant song of the protected vineyard, the purging of Yaakov's sin, and the great Shofar gathering.

Hashem punishes Leviathan the elusive and twisted serpent with His fierce sword and slays the dragon of the sea. Hashem guards His vineyard of delight day and night, desiring reconciliation rather than fury. Yaakov's iniquity is purged by pulverizing idolatrous altar stones like chalk, causing Israel to take root and fill the world with fruit. On that day, a great Shofar will sound, gathering the lost from Assyria and Egypt to worship on the holy mountain.
