Peg word: Lulav(לו)
LULAV
A giant LULAV is shaken in front of Ravshakeh as he screams insults in Judean outside the walls of Yerushalayim.
Sancheriv of Assyria invades Yehudah, and Ravshakeh delivers a loud, blasphemous speech outside Yerushalayim to break morale.
In King Chizkiyahu's fourteenth year, Sancheriv captures the fortified cities of Yehudah and sends his general Ravshakeh with a large army to Yerushalayim. Ravshakeh stands by the aqueduct of the upper pool and mocks Chizkiyahu's trust in Egypt and Hashem. Speaking loudly in Judean to terrorize the soldiers on the wall, he boasts that no god has ever saved a nation from the King of Assyria, but the people remain completely silent.
