When Sancheriv sends a threatening letter mocking Hashem, Chizkiyahu spreads it out before the altar in the Beit HaMikdash and prays fervently. Yeshayahu delivers Hashem's response mocking the arrogance of Assyria; that night, an angel slays 185,000 Assyrians, and Sancheriv flees to Nineveh where he is assassinated.
