The heavy, burdensome idols of Babylon contrasted with Hashem who carries and sustains Israel from birth to old age.

The famous Babylonian idols, Bel and Nebo, collapse and are loaded as heavy burdens onto weary beasts of burden, unable to save their worshippers or themselves from captivity. In stark contrast, Hashem declares that He has carried and sustained the house of Yaakov from birth and will continue to bear and save them into their gray-haired old age, urging the stubborn to remember His immutable purpose.
