The Young Olive Tree (Yirmiyahu) is appointed by Hashem to be His navi, and is shown a vision of an olive tree with almonds (Hashem is watching over His word) and a boiling pot from the north (disaster because of sin).
Yirmiyahu is called as a prophet to the nations and sees visions of an almond branch and a boiling pot.
Hashem consecrates Yirmiyahu as a prophet even before his birth. Initially reluctant due to his youth, Yirmiyahu is empowered by Hashem touching his mouth. He is shown visions of a blossoming almond branch and a boiling pot tilting from the north, symbolizing the impending Babylonian invasion. Hashem promises to make Yirmiyahu an fortified city against the kings of Yehudah.
