King Achazyah falls ill and seeks an idol; Eliyahu Hanavi intercepts his messengers, foretells his death, and calls down fire upon hostile soldiers.
King Achazyah of Israel injures himself and sends messengers to consult Baal-Zebub. Eliyahu Hanavi intercepts them under divine command, declaring the king will die. The king sends captains with fifty soldiers to arrest Eliyahu, but the first two groups are consumed by heavenly fire before Eliyahu spares the third captain and delivers the message in person.
