The righteous King Chizkiyahu reforms Yehudah and resists Assyria, but Sancheriv invades and Ravshakeh delivers a terrifying blasphemous speech.

Chizkiyahu rules Yehudah righteously, abolishing idolatrous high places and shattering the copper serpent made by Moshe. In his fourteenth year, Sancheriv of Assyria invades Yehudah and captures its fortified cities, forcing Chizkiyahu to pay a heavy tribute. Sancheriv sends his general, Ravshakeh, to Yerushalayim to deliver a loud, blasphemous speech meant to demoralize the Jews and mock Hashem.
