Melachim Bet (II Kings) — Perek 22

The righteous King Yoshiyahu repairs the Beit HaMikdash, where Chilkiyahu finds a lost Sefer Torah that sparks national repentance.

Yoshiyahu ascends the throne at age eight and rules righteously, commissioning a major renovation of the Beit HaMikdash. During the repairs, Chilkiyahu the Kohen Gadol discovers a hidden Sefer Torah, and its severe warnings of exile cause the king to tear his clothes in grief. Yoshiyahu sends a delegation to Chuldah the Prophetess, who confirms the coming judgment but promises that Yoshiyahu will die in peace before it arrives.
