Yoshiyahu wipes out idolatry throughout the land, restores the covenant, celebrates a historic Pesach, but is killed by Pharaoh Necho.

Yoshiyahu gathers the nation to read the Sefer Torah, renews the covenant with Hashem, and initiates an aggressive campaign to demolish all pagan high places, altars, and shrines across Yehudah and Israel. He hosts a magnificent Pesach celebration unmatched since the days of the Judges. Despite his unparalleled righteousness, Yoshiyahu is killed in battle against Pharaoh Necho at Megiddo, and his successors return to wickedness.
