The collapse of societal leadership in Yehudah, the emergence of anarchic rule, and the stripping of vanity from the haughty daughters of Tzion.

Hashem removes all dependable leaders, wise elders, and craftsmen from Yerushalayim, leaving immature youths and chaotic rulers in power. Societal collapse reaches the point where anyone possessing a simple cloak is begged to lead the ruins. The haughty daughters of Tzion, obsessed with lavish vanity and jewelry, are stripped of their finery and subjected to humiliation and mourning.
