Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 31

Warning against relying on Egyptian horses and chariots, Hashem's protection over Yerushalayim like hovering birds, and Assyria's swordless fall.

Woe to those who rely on Egyptian cavalry and chariots while failing to seek the Holy One of Israel; the Egyptians are mere mortal men, and their horses are flesh, not spirit. Hashem will descend like a roaring lion and protect Yerushalayim like hovering mother birds over their nests. The prophet urges Israel to return to Hashem and cast away silver and gold idols, for Assyria will fall by a sword not of man.
