Hashem summons the coastal nations to silence and judgment, pointing to a righteous conqueror raised from the east. While panicked nations scramble to manufacture idols, Hashem reassures Israel, His chosen servant and offspring of Avraham His friend, not to fear because He is with them. Hashem transforms parched mountains into flowing springs and challenges pagan idols to foretell the future, exposing them as empty wind.
