Yeshayahu (Isaiah) — Perek 5

The Parable of the Vineyard producing wild grapes, six severe 'woes' against societal sins, and the summons of distant invading armies.

Yeshayahu sings a poignant parable of a beloved friend who cultivated a premium vineyard with great care, only for it to yield bitter wild grapes, prompting its abandonment and destruction. The prophet pronounces six devastating woes upon land-grabbers, drunkards, blasphemers, moral relativists, corrupt judges, and the self-righteous. Consequently, Hashem raises an international banner to summon swift invading armies to execute judgment.
