Yirmiyahu (Jeremiah) — Perek 22

Harsh judgments are pronounced against the wicked kings of Yehudah: Shallum, Yehoyakim, and Konyahu.

Yirmiyahu delivers prophecies against the royal house. He declares that Shallum will die in exile. He condemns Yehoyakim for building a lavish palace with unjust labor, prophesying he will have the burial of a donkey. Finally, he prophesies against Konyahu (Coniah/Yehoyachin), saying he will be cast into exile and none of his offspring will ever sit on David's throne.
