The Rechavim are tested with wine and refuse, highlighting Yehudah's failure to obey Hashem.

Hashem tells Yirmiyahu to bring the Rechavim into the Temple and offer them wine. They steadfastly refuse, citing the ancient command of their ancestor Yehonadav to never drink wine, build houses, or plant crops. Hashem uses their strict obedience to a human ancestor to rebuke the people of Yehudah, who constantly ignore the commands of the living God.
