Yirmiyahu (Jeremiah) — Perek 7

Yirmiyahu delivers his famous Temple Sermon, rebuking the people for trusting in deceptive words.

Standing at the Temple gates, Yirmiyahu warns the people not to trust the chant 'The Temple of Hashem' while committing murder, theft, and idolatry. He reminds them of Shiloh's destruction to prove that the Temple is not immune to Hashem's wrath. The people are harshly condemned for burning their children in the Valley of Hinnom (Topheth).
